The fox. What an amazing creature and so many characteristics worthy to draw comparisons in our own lives.

They are smart. Intelligent. Intuitive. Clever.

We live in a world where data is gold and analytics down to the gnat’s ass seems to be the most important measure of success. Sometimes I wonder where being nimble, using your gut, and trusting your instincts have gone? The world has become more robotic and driven by AI. Hey, don’t get me wrong, there are some cool technologies out there that make our lives easier, better, or more efficient. And, I really dig that. But what about our clever human instincts?

Let’s get back to the fox, what they represent and how they compare to us.

Did you know the fox uses the earth’s magnetic field to hunt their prey? Wait. What? Seriously. Without getting all science-y on you, let’s just say they’ve been studied to have a 75% chance of catching that little mouse up to 3 feet under the snow when pointing towards the North Pole. The magnetic field pulls them in a direction where they can hone in on the sounds and vibrations below the surface. That is some crazy shit, right?

Not really.

I’ve always believed there’s an energy in the universe that pulls us in the direction we want to go in. I believe that when we tell ourselves the good stuff—our wants, our desires—the universe listens and then delivers. I believe when we are open to the gifts we want to receive, the universe delivers. And I’m not talking about the gifts you unwrap. These are the kind you don’t see. The kind that come in the form of opportunity and connection. The kind that are presented in front of you when you look and listen.

So, it doesn’t come as a shock on how the fox can get what it wants and needs to survive by simply utilizing their instincts. They listen to the environment around them. They feel the energy and move towards it. They are smart animals. They are protective parents. They are playful and curious. A lot like us.

You know what else they do? SLAY. So get after it. Seize the moments in front of you. They are yours to take when you’re open to receiving.
