WELCOME TO THE REFRAME CHALLENGE

Download and print this worksheet so you can get to work and start changing your life, one word at a time. If you don’t have a printer, no problem, just work through the pages in your favorite journal. I encourage you to use a pen or pencil while doing these exercises as it ignites a part of your brain that will make it stick. You will retain this better and be all about that action, boss! 🤩

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.

THE WORKSHEET

  • The art of training your brain to believe what you tell it.

  • Whether your mind is racing or you’re sitting in meditation, do you notice patterns and thoughts that repeat? Do you find yourself fighting thoughts or releasing them? A big part of reframing is to recognize what you don’t like so you can make changes in your brain by training it to believe what you truly desire.

  • Let’s flip the script and choose the words in your head again This exercise will help you reframe and visualize the positive. Challenge yourself to reframe any negative thoughts into the positive. Or, at a minimum, shift and lean into your desires. Write them down again.

  • Spirit words. A simple idea that brings forth your true self. The words that will always enter your mind, find their way into your writing, your conversations, your thoughts. These words are what anchor you to your own personal brand.

  • Now that you have all these awesome words describing you, can you narrow it down to just 5? I know, I know! It’s hard, right? But you can do it. Look at your list and circle the 5 words you know to be true of you. The anchoring words of your life. Write them down.

  • What is a Personal Precept? It’s a simple rule to regulate behavior or thought. As you think through all the work you’ve just completed about honing in on specific thoughts and words, can you take your 5 Spirit words and turn them into your very own Precepts of Life? Download the worksheet for details on how to do this.

  • Now you try. Write out your spirit words first. Then move on to your precepts using those words. Have fun and remember to think about the outcomes you want in life while you write. Anchor yourself to these precepts and live by them daily.

  • Now that you’ve worked through this reframing challenge, you’re ready to take action and make it part of your daily life. Remember, the whole purpose of this challenge was to get you thinking about how powerful words are in everything you do, say and think! LET’S GO!
